Nardini, Krizia (2016) – Men’s Networking for Gender Justice – Thinking through Global-Local Strategies starting from the Italian and Spanish Cases

Abstract

Concerned with the ways in which profeminist men’s organizing is taking shape in contemporary Italy and Spain, this article focuses on the collective engagement of men working toward gender justice in the current context of globalized/localized economic crisis and information society. This article results from the author’s PhD ethnographic research conducted among profeminist actors in Italy and Spain, and constitutes a reworked version of the paper presented at the American Men’s Studies Association (AMSA) International Conference 2015 in New York City (NYC).
