Accessibility: Every body should have access to trivia

Let me tell you a story. When I decided that I was going to make this web page I arrogantly decided that I would just do the basic stuff for web accessibility. One night very late (this is theme in my life) I was posed with the decision to care or not care. I was about to decide that I was an uncaring schmuck (yiddish for penis foreskin, this is a trivia page), when the netcast I was listening to answered my question. A lady called in and said that she was disabled and had trouble with certain applications. Long story short, has dense as I can be sometime I had to listen to forces at work in the world. I then took it upon myself to make a web site that would validate in every way. I have not done that yet, but I am close. So far I have been able to:

  • Valid CSS - Start with basics
  • Valid XHTML - Start with basics
  • Section 508 - The Government gets it right every so often
  • WAI - Helping Assistance programs functions
    • Priority 1
    • Priority 2

I have not been able to get WAI Priority 3 but I am working on it. If you can help me let me know.

I need you: Have I erred (probably) or can you help me fix my remaining problems?

I am in the process of figuring out the remaining errors and I will post them here. I may have missed something, matter of fact I can guarantee it. Please let me know, I want to make this page useful for everyone.

Please send me any corrections and additions that you find. Any help in adding to this site will be greatly appreciated. Please use the contact page or email me at this address.

Feel free to use anything found on this page as you see fit. Trivial knowledge should always be free and available to all. My only request is that you link to this page in some way. Go forth and spread the erratum, amen.

Thank You, ~The Mayor of Kentonville
