About

Hi, my name is Kenton,

This is my website. Wow, grabbed your attention, the key is a killer lead-in. Anyway a little about myself. I am a student in the early portion of my education; my focus is on Socio-Cultural Anthropology. I was born in the South and all that comes with it, real or imagined. I believe intellectual discourse and open debate will save humanity and the Internet even with its abundance of snarkiness and distractions will lead us there.

  • I like romantic comedies a little too much for my gender.
  • I do not like bananas in my Banana Pudding, extra wafers please.
  • I have two dogs a Bloodhound and a 17-year-old mutt mix of Boxer and Saint Bernard.
  • I enjoy reading and like most avid readers, I am wannabe writer.
  • I spend most of my time arguing with myself over the vagaries of life.
  • I have two great monetary regrets in life, that I did not buy every domain name possible in the early days of the Internet and that I was not smart enough to come up with Coinstar (Brilliantly Simple).
  • I am fascinated by the human condition and enjoy learning about most topics.
  • I fiddle with web design.
  • I hate people in a conversation who merely wait for their turn to speak instead of listening.
  • I enjoy lifting weights because it is easier than dieting.
  • My favorite movie is Harley Davidson and Marlboro Man, every necessary life lesson is contained within that film.
  • The best movie I have ever seen is The Man From Earth.
  • My favorite author is Kurt Vonnegut  but my favorite book is Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli.
    • Mother Night and Hocus Pocus are two of the most original works of fiction I have ever read.
  • Merle Haggard has been the constant soundtrack to my life but lately I feel Jazz and Classical in ways I never thought I would.
  • I believe that any body who wants to get married should be allowed.
  • Increased access to medical care and education for everyone will help society as a whole.
  • I believe the most destructive force on Earth is the perception of knowledge as usual a wiser man is more eloquent. “The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge.” quoth Stephen Hawking.
  • Snarky behavior is slowly destroying us all. I am guilty of this myself.
  • I think sautéed mushrooms, wilted spinach, and saffron rice might be the best meal imaginable.
  • I am tired of writing about myself, seems silly considering I have a website dedicated to all things me.
